The UK is committed to supporting the Middle East Peace Process and to improving the lives of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs) and the region. We have pledged up to £243 million over 3 years (2008-10) to ensure that basic services are provided in the OPTs and the needs of Palestinian refugees are met.

The UK is the 4th largest donor to the Palestinian people, and also the fourth largest donor to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) which works to support Palestinian refugees in the OPTs and elsewhere. The UK has pledged £46.8 million in response to the conflict in Gaza, some of which was allocated to emergency aid and some of which is for recovery.
