Sarah McPherson from the Stabilisation Unit and Anthony Howlett-Bolton from the Security Sector Development Advisory Team visited Iraq to conduct a review of the Conflict Pool funded Iraqi Ministry of Interior and Police Service programme .

British Ambassador Calls on Deputy PM Nouri Shawees

British Ambassador John Jenkins met with Deputy Prime Minister Nouri Shawees on Monday 01 February. The two discussed recent developments in Iraq and the importance of boosting Iraqi-British bilateral relations. The British ambassador reiterated the UK's support of the Iraqi political process in the runup to the parliamentary elections in early March 2010.
